The Subway Film Series

The Subway Film Series

Filmwax is proud to present Jack Feldstein's curated series of short films, The Subway Poetry Film series. Having recently debuted at the Queens World Film Festival, these films by New York filmmakers —most of whom are expected to be present— are interpretations of 6 poems on the subject of the New York subway.

Feldstein's neon animated films were the focus of an earlier Filmwax event and we are thrilled to have Jack and his coterie of filmmakers back for this unique event.

Philip Dacey’s ”Subway Services” by Jack Feldstein

Cheryl Dumesnil’s ”Q to the 6 train” by Gabriel Rodriguez

Cornelius Eady’s ”Dead Man Rides Subway” by Don Cato

“In Queens My Ambitious Soul I Bare” (based on George Guida’s ”Manhattan-Bound F”) by Richard Shpuntoff

Claude MacKay’s ”Subway Wind” by Heather Spilkin

George Wallace’s ”Men & Women on the Subway Line” by Peter Haa
